Food & Lodging Near 209 "The Rattler"!

There is lodging available at both ends of 209 The Rattler. On the North End of the Journey is the Bobarosa Saloon and Tent Camping USA, where you may find everything from rustic tent sites, RV Sites and Motel Rooms, The bobarosa saloon also has "Fatbob's Hogg Shack" Quick style foods. Serving mostly appetizer & sandwiches, we are known for our BBQ pulled pork and Chicken Wings. We also run daily specials including old favorites like sloppy joes, homemade pasta & potato salads. $12.00 Ribeye Special with Salad and 1 side.

On the South End of the journey there is Maggie Valley Hotel which is nestled amidst the North Carolina Moutains on Jonathan Creek, in the picturesque town of Maggie Valley. For those of you that have worked up a thirst or hunger, there is also great food at the Maggie Valley Hotel. They are known for their pizza and Italian style Lasagna.

You've ridden the Dragon, now ride the best. Ride 209 The Rattler, Located just outside of Hot Springs, NC, it twists and turns all the way to Lake Junaluska , NC.

Traveling thru the Pisgah National forest and over the Great Smokey Mountains is Hwy 209 "The Rattler", some of the most attention demanding but beautiful riding you will ever experience. Once you've successfully ridden "The Rattler", you will understand why all the other's were merely preperation rides.
There are over 234 twists, turns and curves from Lake Junaluska to Hot Springs and another 30 from Hot Springs down to the Bobarosa Saloon. We think the "Rattler" is better then the Drangons Tail, Hellbender, The Snake or The Devils Triangle for scenic beauty and for testing your riding skills.
